Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Metzger Built Buildings & Crane Service, operating as The Shed Co ("we" or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and when you contact us. We follow the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia and applicable Canadian law.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to answer you, quote your shed and deliver it:

Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.

Project details: what you tell us in the contact form, and the shed design you send from the 3D Designer (size, roof, colours, doors and windows).

Delivery details: your address or area and site access, if you give them to us for a quote.

Website data: our web host may keep basic technical logs (such as your IP address and browser) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

3. Your consent

By sending the contact form or contacting us, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described here. If you do not want your information used this way, please call us instead. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though we may then be unable to quote or deliver a shed.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed, with:

Service providers that run this site: Cloudflare (hosting and form handling) and Resend (delivery of form emails to us).

Subcontractors we use to deliver or place your shed, such as crane and site-preparation crews, where needed.

Legal authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, where other countries' laws apply to it.

5. Keeping it safe

We keep enquiries and project details for as long as we need them to quote your shed, complete the job, honour any warranty and meet tax and legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or email can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed (where the law allows) by contacting us below.
